What benefits will you get from our extended hours, 8.00 am to 3.30 pm?
The NSW Government is committed to ensuring that all children in New South Wales can participate in 600 hours of quality preschool education in the year before school, no matter where they live or what their circumstances are.
To ensure that affordability is not a barrier for families with young children, the NSW Government has allocated additional funding (Start Strong) to support universal access to early childhood education.
By extending our hours, your child can access 600 hours of quality preschool education in the year before school. This also means that the preschool qualifies for the Start Strong Funding, allowing us to reduce in fees and make preschool more affordable.
For more information, please speak to a member of staff or visit the Start Strong website.
The earlier start and later finish also offers more flexibility to families doing the school run—meaning you can easily drop your pre-schooler(s) first and get your older child/children to school by 9 am. But please don’t feel you have to drop off or pick up at those times—you can still do 9 am and 3 pm if this suits you better.
The extra time your child is with us each day may enable you to work more or work more flexibly. For example, some working families may find that one parent can do the drop off and work the later shift, and one parent can work an early shift and do the pick up.
